Gradual aligner adjustments

As you move through the Invisalign treatment process, you will switch to new sets of aligners. With each new aligner, there are slight differences to continue to guide your teeth into their new positions. You can expect the following:

2. You’ll wear your aligners for at least 22 hours every day, taking them out only to eat, drink or brush and floss.

4. Treatment typically takes at least 6 months. You’ll be able to see your teeth as they gradually move, getting a preview of your new smile within a few weeks of beginning the process.

Invisalign applies gentle, consistent pressure to your teeth to guide them into new positions. The entire treatment process is mapped out digitally before you begin, with each aligner acting as another step toward your final smile.

Consistent daily wear

One of the most popular Invisalign benefits is the ability to continue eating your favorite foods – no need to cut out crunchy snacks or sticky candy! But you need to be sure to replace your aligners right after eating so that treatment can continue. You should wear your aligners at least 22 hours per day to stay on schedule.
